Your Career Control System & Outplacement Workshops

The information and material provided in Your Career Control System is advisory to assist delegates in their career development through the improvement of awareness and knowledge of the job market and techniques to be applied within that market.

The success or otherwise of job search activity is dependent on the job seeker; there will be no grounds for recourse to Career Headway or any of its consultants in the event of any delegate failing to achieve his or her desired expectations.

With regard to any material provided by Career Headway, the right of the author(s) of such material is identified in accordance with the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and it is agreed that:
1 - such material is only for the personal use of the nominated job seeker in respect of his or her own job search campaign,
2 - copies of any material provided may only be made by the nominated delegate for his or her own use as part of his or her own personal job search campaign, and
3 - any such material shall not be made available to any other person for any purpose whatsoever, whether by the nominated delegate or the contracted client.

Confidentiality

Details of any order will be maintained on a computer and will only be used in the servicing of that and any subsequent order. Career Headway agrees to the use of computer records for this sole purpose.

Career Headway also agrees that all details of you and your dealings with Career Headway will be treated in the strictest confidence and will not be disclosed to, discussed with or passed on to any other person or organisation without your specific prior agreement.

With regard to the provision of Outplacement Services, the client will be provided with data necessary to monitor the progress of the contract. However, the relationship between the consultant and the delegate is akin to that of Doctor/Patient and confidentiality will be respected over any relevant areas of their discussions.

Expenses and Accommodation

Travelling and/or Accommodation Expenses may be incurred and charged to the client, in addition to the relevant service fee. UK mainland travel in access of 50 miles from the consultant's base will be charged at the rate of £0.35 per mile. A full-day seminar, or series of seminars, at a location greater than 75 miles, or 2 hours road travel from the consultant's base, whichever is the greater, may necessitate overnight accommodation for the consultant. This could either be arranged and settled directly by the client, or by Career Headway and invoiced to the client.

Payment Terms

Unless otherwise agreed in advance and confirmed in writing, a 25% deposit will be required to be paid on booking the service required, such payment being made a minimum of 3 working days in advance of the commencement of the delivery of the service.

The balance fee will be due within 10 working days of the submission of the invoice, if paid by BACS transfer, or within 5 working days, if paid by cheque. If payment is to be made via BACS transfer, please request banking details before the invoice falls due for payment.

Any payment not received by the due date will be subject to a 20% surcharge.

All payments will be subject to Value Added Tax at the current standard rate.

All payments should be made by cheque, in favour of and sent to Career Headway, or by BACS transfer directly to Career Headway's bank. Under no circumstances should any payment be passed via a Career Headway consultant or any payment be made directly to a consultant for work contracted to Career Headway.

You should be aware that laws and regulations may be different outside England and Wales. These terms shall be governed by English law.
