Consider introducing a Voluntary Early Retirement Programme in conjunction with a Career Headway career coaching programme.

Workers over a chosen age could apply for Early Retirement or Voluntary Severance:

  • on enhanced terms (to attract them),
     
  • subject to the Company's agreement (to control numbers and timing, and to avoid losing key people),
     
  • and be provided with Careers Guidance (giving them the reassurance that they can approach the Job Market with an increased opportunity of finding alternative employment to supplement their pension or severance package).

This will leave the way clear for you to recruit new blood and improve the flow of staff.

This is usually best achieved by having a Career Headway consultant based on-site, either for an agreed number of days or on a weekly basis. He would be on-call to provide:

  • reassurance, optimism and early advice to anyone considering applying and, later,
     
  • careers guidance/support to those accepted on to the programme by the Company. This will include CV preparation and coaching on how to best approach the Job Market, as well as the additional support of sourcing opportunities from other local employers.

Our fees are based on an on-site daily or weekly rate. Attendance requirements are dependent on the numbers of staff involved and the chosen duration of the programme.
